Joining the Fight! Heart Behind Prophecy Recon

I was encouraged to share the heart behind Prophecy Recon and what led to its creation. First, let me say—I’m just like most of you reading this. For years, I’ve watched sermons, prophecy updates, and conferences featuring J.B. Hixson, Tom Hughes, Brandon Holthaus, Billy Crone, Mondo Gonzales, Pete Garcia, L.A. Marzulli, Curt Reed, John Haller, Patrick Wood, Britt Gillette, Scott Townsend, and many others.

If you teach, preach, or contribute to the prophecy community, chances are I’ve read or watched your work. That doesn’t mean I agree 100% with every position held by each of these men, but I deeply respect and admire them all. I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I could probably write for days. I'm not big on talking about myself or my experiences. Maybe sometime down the road (preferably in Heaven), as time is short and there is work to be done.

Where It All Started

I’m terrible with dates, so I can’t pin down an exact year, but I remember coming across a 2009 documentary by Grant Jeffrey called Shadow Government. That documentary opened my eyes. I started connecting the dots and realizing that the things he referenced were actually happening—right before my eyes. Especially the technological components. Even back then, they were talking about the Internet of Things and how everything would eventually be connected.

Fast forward to today, and it’s not just theory—it’s reality. Most people not only accept this connected world, they thrive in it.

From there, I began seeking out other documentaries and digging into the Bible on my own. The problem was, no one around me was really interested in Bible prophecy. I wasn’t into social media or YouTube at the time, so I relied solely on my own understanding. Big mistake, right?

What does Scripture say about that?

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."Proverbs 3:5

I was also mishandling the Word of God. Scripture speaks to that too:

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."2 Timothy 2:15

Over time, my understanding deepened, and something unexpected happened.

I credit Bible prophecy with growing my relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of prophecy, my love has grown—and continues to grow—for our Savior.

It’s more than headlines and timelines. It’s about Him. The more I studied prophecy, the more I saw the beauty, mercy, and majesty of Jesus.

A Growing Fire

Eventually, I discovered The Final Prophecies and The Coming Convergence. That led me to teachers like Tom Hughes and J.D. Farag. Around 2019—just before the infamous plandemic—I had grown enough in my understanding to see the deception unfolding.

Tom Hughes began featuring more guests, and my YouTube playlist started filling up. Like many of you, I liked to observe and learn. I wouldn’t call myself a “back row Baptist,” but in this area, I was content to sit, soak, and study. I began sharing what I learned with my Sunday School class, my friends, and my family.

People were often surprised by how much I knew. I didn’t see it that way—I would explain that the information is out there, free for anyone who wants to learn. I sent videos and articles to others, but few engaged with it. That’s when I decided to start writing.

I try to keep most of my articles short—five to ten-minute reads. Others, I take my time and really dig in. I’m not here to reinvent the wheel. I’m not doing a 50-part series on Revelation. That’s already been done—and done well. What I am here to do is take what I see happening, put it on paper, and tie it back to Scripture. That’s the driving purpose behind Prophecy Recon.

Time to Engage

The battle is real. Let me repeat that—the battle is real, right now. It’s time to stand up and participate.

I’ve heard people say, “Spiritual warfare isn’t real,” or, “Christians aren’t persecuted,” simply because they haven’t experienced it. My response? If you’re not being attacked, maybe Satan doesn’t see you as a threat. Want to be a threat to the enemy? Then get in the fight!

God didn’t call you to sit on the couch, binge shows, and scroll your phone. He called you to be a soul-winner. We are commanded to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. And if you, like me, love Bible prophecy—then you should feel even more convicted to get out there and do something for the Kingdom.

If you:

  • Take what you read and watch seriously…

  • Understand the urgency of this hour…

  • Truly believe Jesus could return any moment

Then you should be moved to action. Moved to evangelize. Moved to Recon.

Stay Awake. Keep Watch. Join the Reconnaissance.
