ADF Massacre Strikes Christian Village in DRC

Oct 10, 2025

The Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) unleashed another wave of terror in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday, Oct. 7, killing five civilians in the Christian-majority village of Rizerie, North Kivu Province. The victims, who were working in a gold mine, were ambushed and murdered without warning. Witnesses described a scene of chaos and horror as gunfire erupted, sending villagers fleeing for their lives. “They woke up just trying to feed their families,” one local said. “Then the rebels came out of nowhere — it was pure horror.”

Following the attack, the militants advanced toward the nearby village of Robinet, sparking heavy gunfire with Congolese armed forces (FARDC). Local leader Kagheni Samuel condemned the violence, urging immediate military action: “We are tired of burying our people. The government must hunt these killers down wherever they hide.” The death toll remains uncertain as families search for missing loved ones amid growing fear and displacement. For many in the region, the ADF’s campaign of violence is not just a physical assault — it’s a systematic attempt to wipe out Christian communities and drive them from their ancestral homes.
