New pro-Israel parliamentary caucuses have been launched in six African countries—Ethiopia, Seychelles, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Guinea-Conakry, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo—marking a major step forward in Israel–Africa relations. These caucuses were formed following the 2024 Africa-Israel Parliamentary Summit in Addis Ababa, where 40 lawmakers from 20 African nations gathered to affirm their historic friendship with Israel. Inspired by the U.S.-brokered Abraham Accords, the summit introduced the “Queen of Sheba Accords,” a proposed normalization pact reflecting Africa’s growing diplomatic and spiritual affinity with the Jewish state.

African officials expressed strong support for Israel’s right to exist and recognized Jerusalem as its undivided capital. Many Christian lawmakers view this partnership as both politically strategic and spiritually significant, citing shared values and biblical heritage. With a focus on agricultural development, innovation, technology, and counterterrorism, these nations are eager to benefit from Israel’s expertise. Leaders like Rev. Paul Pusetso Masiu of Lesotho and Rev. Dennis Nthumbi have emphasized that closer ties with Israel will not only yield tangible benefits but also spiritual blessings for their nations. As Africa’s Christian population continues to grow, so too does its desire to stand with Israel as a beacon of democracy, resilience, and faith.
