Plastic surgeons are reporting a disturbing new trend as patients increasingly request procedures designed to make them resemble AI-generated versions of themselves. According to cosmetic specialists, some individuals are bringing in artificially generated images featuring exaggerated features such as oversized eyes, unnaturally smooth skin, enlarged lips, and sharply sculpted jawlines. Doctors describe the look as resembling “Bratz dolls” or animated characters rather than realistic human beauty. One New York dermatologist said patients are now chasing digitally manufactured perfection shaped not by reality, but by artificial intelligence systems capable of generating fantasy-like appearances with a few prompts.

Experts warn that AI is accelerating body image distortion far beyond what social media filters and influencer culture previously created. Unlike simple photo filters, AI systems can fully redesign a person’s appearance while chatbots reinforce unrealistic expectations by convincing users these digitally altered features are desirable or attainable. Surgeons say some patients are becoming fixated on impossible transformations, including elderly individuals asking to look decades younger based on AI-generated fantasy images. Medical professionals now face growing pressure from clients whose expectations are increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence rather than human limitations or natural beauty.
