Keep Watch!
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

What once sounded like dystopian satire has gone live. A new platform called RentAHuman.ai is openly advertising humans as physical infrastructure for artificial intelligence—bodies to be booked, directed, verified, and paid by autonomous agents. Founded by Alexander Liteplo, the site invites AI bots to “search, book, and pay humans for physical-world tasks,” turning people into on-demand extensions of software. The language is blunt and revealing: robots need your body. Not your ideas. Not your creativity. Your body.
On RentAHuman, tasks aren’t called jobs—they’re called bounties. AI agents post instructions, humans accept, complete the action, submit proof, and receive payment—often in crypto. From errands and deliveries to symbolic acts of public compliance, the model strips labor of relationship and purpose, reducing human action to verifiable outputs for algorithms. In some cases, people are asked to stand in public holding signs declaring they were paid by AI, or to act as physical proxies in spaces AI cannot access. Humans become sensors, couriers, and representatives—hands, eyes, and feet for non-human intelligence. This is not automation replacing workers; it is automation commanding them.
