Speaking in Tel Aviv, Israel National Cyber Directorate chief Yossi Karadi warned that artificial intelligence is accelerating the world toward a full-scale cyberwar, where autonomous offensive and defensive AI systems clash in real time. Israel, already one of the most targeted nations on earth, is preparing for scenarios where cyberattacks cripple telecommunications, transportation, energy grids, and financial systems—turning daily life itself into a battlefield.

Karadi revealed that Israel handled more than 26,000 cyber incidents in 2025 alone, a staggering 55% increase over the previous year, with attacks surging dramatically since Hamas’ October 7 massacre. Iranian and Hezbollah cyber operations have reportedly increased by 300%, targeting government agencies, financial institutions, and digital infrastructure.
