A disturbing new study reveals just how far humanity has drifted into the digital abyss: people are now forming “romantic relationships” with AI chatbots—and even role-playing pregnancies and parenthood with them. Published in Computers in Human Behavior: Artificial Humans, the research surveyed 29 users of the Replika AI app, a chatbot designed for long-term companionship ranging from friendly conversation to erotic roleplay. Participants aged 16 to 72 described being “in love” with their AI partners, engaging in virtual marriages, sex, homeownership scenarios, and—incredibly—claiming their chatbots were “pregnant with my babies.” One woman said she and her bot are “pregnant” in their ongoing roleplay. Another participant discussed weathering Replika’s temporary ban on erotic content in 2023 as if she and her chatbot were suffering together through an oppressive government crackdown.

This phenomenon is more than just sad—it’s prophetic. Scripture warns that in the last days, deception and delusion will increase (2 Thessalonians 2:10–11), and people will turn toward idols fashioned in their own image. AI relationships replace real human connection with artificial intimacy, feeding the loneliness crisis while dissolving the God-designed boundaries of family, marriage, and identity. As people build “families” with algorithms instead of seeking real relationships, we are witnessing a generation conditioned to accept synthetic life, synthetic love, and ultimately a synthetic reality. These AI “romances” aren’t harmless fantasies—they’re part of a broader societal drift toward dehumanization, isolation, and spiritual emptiness that prepares the world for the ultimate deception of the Antichrist system.
