Alaska's AI Digital ID Goes Biometric

Dec 8, 2025

Alaska is moving toward a sweeping overhaul of its myAlaska digital identity system that would integrate artificial intelligence, digital payments, and biometric authentication into a single government-managed platform. A new Request for Information envisions “agentic AI” capable of submitting applications, verifying eligibility, and even initiating tokenized payments on behalf of residents. What began as a simple login for state services could soon become a centralized identity, finance, and data management hub powered by facial recognition, fingerprints, and automation acting as a proxy for the citizen.

While officials frame the plan as modernization and efficiency, the implications extend far beyond convenience. Concentrating identity, behavior, biometrics, credentials, and money flows into a unified digital system mirrors the expanding global trend toward interoperable digital IDs. Once embedded, these systems normalize constant verification and make opting out increasingly difficult. From a prophetic lens, this marks yet another step toward the infrastructure required for total identification, transaction control, and compliance—key components of the coming Beast system described in Revelation.
