Ancient Antisemitism Goes Digital

Jan 15, 2026

A new report from the Antisemitism Research Center is pulling back the curtain on a disturbing truth: the oldest hatred in human history has simply changed its costume. From medieval blood-libel illustrations to modern protest posters and viral memes, the same demonic imagery used to demonize Jews centuries ago is now flooding digital and political spaces. Jews are still being portrayed as child-killers, monsters, and existential threats—only now it comes packaged as “activism,” “art,” or “social justice.”

What makes this resurgence especially dangerous is how easily it hides in plain sight. The report shows that many of today’s visuals—shared online by millions—are not random or accidental. They are direct descendants of propaganda that fueled pogroms, expulsions, and eventually the Holocaust. These images are not merely offensive—they are designed to dehumanize. When people are turned into symbols of evil, violence becomes easier to justify. History has proven that this always ends the same way.

Scripture foretells a time when Israel and the Jewish people will be targeted with unprecedented hatred (Zechariah 12:2–3; Revelation 12). Antisemitism is not just political—it is spiritual. It is part of a long war against God’s covenant people. The reemergence of ancient blood-libel imagery in modern culture signals that the spirit behind this hatred is rising again, just as the prophets warned it would before the final confrontation over Jerusalem.
