Ancient Lies Against Israel Resurface

Mar 12, 2026

As the war between Israel and Iran intensifies, a surge of antisemitism is spreading across social media and public discourse. Reports indicate synagogue vandalism in several American cities has increased dramatically, while online conspiracy theories blaming Jews for global conflict have gained millions of views. Among the most troubling narratives now circulating is the revived claim that Jews have no legitimate ancestral connection to the land of Israel. Proponents of this theory argue that many modern Jews descend from medieval Khazar converts rather than the ancient Israelites, suggesting that Israel is therefore a land taken by “impostors.”

Historians and genetic researchers have repeatedly debunked the so-called Khazar theory. Historical records confirm that Jewish communities have maintained a continuous presence in the land of Israel through centuries of foreign conquest—from the Persian and Greek empires to the Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Crusaders, Ottomans, and British. The modern Jewish return to the land is deeply rooted in thousands of years of history, religious tradition, and national identity. Scholars and historians continue to document the longstanding connection between the Jewish people and the land promised to their forefathers, despite persistent attempts to rewrite that history.
