Another Massacre of Christians in Nigeria

Dec 8, 2025

Southern Taraba State in Nigeria has become the latest killing field in a relentless campaign of violence against Christians, as more than 48 believers were gunned down and entire villages burned to the ground. Homes lie in ashes, families are displaced, and survivors are fleeing for their lives as Fulani militants continue their terror unchecked across Takum County. Community and church leaders report that repeated distress calls to the Nigerian military have gone unanswered or met with indifference, leaving defenseless Christians exposed to brutal attacks that increasingly resemble organized ethnic and religious cleansing.

Residents accuse the military not only of failing to protect them, but in some cases of enabling the attackers through inaction. The Fulani-linked militants—now widely recognized as Nigeria’s deadliest homegrown insurgency—operate with near-total freedom, killing, burning, and seizing farmland. For the global Church, this is yet another sobering reminder that Christian persecution is not looming—it is already here. As the West grows numb to headlines of slaughter in distant lands, the blood of the saints continues to cry out, signaling that hostility toward biblical faith is accelerating in the last days.
