Argentina to Relocate Embassy to Jerusalem

Argentine President Javier Milei announced during a speech to Israel’s Knesset on Wednesday that Argentina will move its embassy to Jerusalem in 2026. Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana hailed Milei as “the greatest friend the State of Israel and the Jewish people have ever had in Argentina.” He praised Milei’s moral clarity, Torah study, and strong stance against Iran, calling his visit a historic milestone in Israel-Argentina ties. Opposition leader Yair Lapid also thanked Milei, calling his friendship with Israel deeply moving and bipartisan.
