A new report from the Anti-Defamation League reveals that antisemitic assaults in the United States reached an all-time high in 2025, marking one of the most violent years for Jewish Americans on record. While the total number of antisemitic incidents declined from the previous year, physical attacks continued to rise, with more than 6,200 incidents of harassment, vandalism, and assault documented nationwide. The report also noted an increase in attacks involving deadly weapons, along with multiple deaths tied to antisemitic violence.

Incidents were reported in every state, with New York, California, and New Jersey recording the highest numbers. The violence ranged from attacks on synagogues and Jewish community events to harassment on college campuses and in schools. The ADL warned that what once would have been considered shocking levels of antisemitism are now becoming normalized, with Jewish communities increasingly facing threats in public spaces, educational settings, and everyday life.

The rise in antisemitic violence comes amid growing global tensions surrounding Israel and increasing polarization across Western societies. Nearly half of all reported incidents were linked in some way to Israel or Zionism, reflecting how geopolitical conflicts are spilling into domestic unrest.
