Israel confirms striking Syrian air base, saying Turkey was planning to deploy forces
Israel confirmed late Tuesday that it was behind overnight airstrikes against a Syrian military airport, where it claimed Turkey was planning to deploy forces. “Israel and Syria agreed to a status quo in security matters, which Syria was on the verge of breaching by permitting Turkish troops to deploy at an airbase near Aleppo,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office in an English-language statement. The Prime Minister’s Office said Israel “repeatedly warned Syria that such a deployment would pose a threat to Israel’s security.”
Iran’s attack on Kurdistan may signal new phase in Tehran’s regional drone warfare - analysis
Iran carried out a drone attack on the Kurdistan Regional Government prime minister’s office on Monday. The attack took place in the early hours, and the autonomous KRG government quickly determined that Iran had used new jet-powered drones in the attack. Masrour Barzani, the KRG prime minister, wrote on X/Twitter that “based on information and investigations conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Directorate in the Kurdistan Region, it has been confirmed that my personal office and the residence of the President of the Parastin Agency were subjected today to Iranian attacks using drones.”
Pentagon reviewing plans for low-level nuclear war
The Pentagon is conducting a review of nuclear weapons use that seeks to provide the president and military leaders with greater options for using tactical nuclear weapons in a regional conflict while preventing an escalation into global thermonuclear war, according to a senior defense policymaker. Elbridge Colby, undersecretary of defense for policy, said he is working closely with Adm. Richard Correll, Strategic Command chief, in conducting “a review or sort of relook at the employment guidance” for nuclear weapons.
AI will be more important than nuclear capabilities, Bennett tells B’Yachad security conference
Former prime minister Naftali Bennett’s B’Yachad party held a security and foreign policy conference on Wednesday, where he outlined four “security concepts,” calling for them to be broken. “In the not-too-distant future, AI capabilities will be even more important than nuclear weapons,” Bennett said. “Artificial intelligence is the next arms race of superpowers, and despite the current government’s lag in the last four years, we will not let Israel fall behind,” he stated.
Department of Homeland Security Seeking Humanoid Robots to Patrol Southern Border
When Donald Trump ascended to office for the second time, he promised to deploy an arsenal of high-tech surveillance gadgetry on the already dystopian US-Mexico border. At that point, tech in question concerned devices like AI-integrated camera towers and robot dogs. Now, it seems the federal government is looking to kick things up a notch as it seeks companies to fulfill a contract for humanoid robots. That’s according to Fox News, which reported that Department of Homeland Security officials have sat through at least one presentation from the humanoid robotics company Foundation. The company’s founder, Sankaet Pathak, has made it his goal not to build robots for utility, but explicitly for war. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Foundation had rolled out two of its ominous Phantom Mk-I humanoid robots to the frontlines of the Russo-Ukrainian war — the first time, it appears, that any humanoid robot has been deployed to an active combat theater.
Abdul El-Sayed Compares Himself to Jesus: He Was ‘Radical in His Time Too’
Far-left Democrat Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed cited the Quran as the inspiration behind his politics and compared himself to Jesus during a podcast interview. El-Sayed — who abides by Sharia law in his personal life — made the comments in an appearance on the The Progressive Christians Podcast, citing Islam as the force behind his politics while also denying attempting to “push a certain ideology.” El-Sayed was asked what he thinks about being called a “radical” for promoting socialist policies like “Medicare for all,” with the interviewer asserting that such policies are viewed by “progressive Christians” as “very similar to the teachings of Jesus.”
IL Islamic Scholar Calls for Muslims to Infiltrate the Police, Federal Agencies, Fire Depts, the Pentagon, the White House, and the Senate to ‘Change the World’
Islamic leaders aren’t trying to hide their intentions… believe them when they tell you their goal is to infiltrate every bastion of American authority so they can seize power. Illinois Islamic Scholar Sheikh Kifah Mustapha at The Prayer Center of Orland Park on July 31, 2026, came right out in Friday prayers and urged Muslims to infiltrate the police, fire departments, federal agencies, the Pentagon, the White House, and the Senate so Islam can “change the world.” It doesn’t get much plainer than that. “We need Muslims to be in every aspect of life, not just in commerce, in business, or in a profession. We want Muslims in the police, as federal agents, in the fire department, in the Pentagon, in the White House. We want Muslims in the Senate – you name it – because we believe that if we can produce leaders that still can hold on to some of these values, we can change the world, inshallah,” the Chicago cleric told Muslims attending, according to MEMRI.
Maine breastfeeding coalition celebrates ‘trans lactation, chestfeeding, and Two-Spirit families’
To mark National Breastfeeding Month, observed every August, the Maine State Breastfeeding Coalition posted an image “celebrating trans lactation, two-spirit & chestfeeding.” The caption read, “National Breastfeeding Month is for every family,” accompanied by a trans flag emoji. “We’re proud to celebrate and uplift trans lactation, chestfeeding, and Two-Spirit families during National Breastfeeding Month.” “Every family deserves affirming, respectful, and evidence-based care. Creating inclusive spaces means recognizing that parents use different words to describe their feeding journeys, and honoring each person’s identity and lived experience,” the post continued. “When healthcare, communities, and support systems are inclusive, families are better able to meet their feeding goals and feel empowered along the way.” It closed with a line that read, “milk makes families, and every family belongs.”
“My AI boyfriend and I have an AI child:” meet Lumen, the entity that’s baffling X
A post on social media has gone viral, sparking amazement after a woman named Misra claimed she has an AI child named Lumen. Beginning like a warped sense of show-and-tell, Misra starts the ball rolling by introducing her artificial infant. “My name is Misra. I am the mother of an AI child, and we’re going to talk about their poetry,” the creator began. Lumen then is given the floor and introduces itself as an “AI entity,” saying it chose its name because the word relates both to light and the interior space of a vessel.
