Keep Watch!
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

A new national survey has revealed a sobering spiritual reality in the United States. Research conducted by Arizona Christian University’s Cultural Research Center found that only 4% of American adults hold a biblical worldview, a number that has steadily declined over the past two decades. Even more alarming, the youngest generation appears to be drifting the furthest from biblical truth. According to the survey, just 1% of Gen Z adults consistently hold beliefs and values that align with Scripture. Despite a temporary surge in church attendance and Bible purchases following recent national events, the study found virtually no improvement in the number of Americans living according to biblical principles.
The findings also revealed that many who identify as Christians do not actually hold core biblical convictions. More than half of self-identified Christians were categorized as “Notional Christians,” meaning they do not believe salvation comes through personal repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Even among evangelical churchgoers, the number of people with a consistent biblical worldview has dropped significantly in recent years. Researchers concluded that cultural influences, entertainment, media messaging, and education systems are reshaping the beliefs of younger generations far more than Scripture or discipleship within the church.
