While acknowledging the massive disruption AI may bring to the global job market, Gates named three professions he believes will remain resilient: coders, energy experts, and biologists. He emphasized the importance of these roles in a world increasingly shaped by AI systems, suggesting that those entering the workforce should focus on these areas for stability and relevance.

These areas demand creative problem-solving and nuanced judgment—capabilities that AI, despite its progress, still lacks. Gates also compared the shift caused by AI to previous technological revolutions, such as the internet and the industrial age.

As AI evolves into a tool that shapes economies, ethics, and even identities, the danger arises of creating systems that not only displace human labor but also redefine truth and morality without divine authority.
