Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

The quiet rollout of biometric surveillance in everyday spaces is accelerating, and New York City grocery stores are now part of that shift. Recent disclosures show that Wegmans is collecting facial, eye, and voice data from shoppers under the banner of safety and security. What was once described as a limited program has expanded to the general public, with little transparency about data retention, access, or sharing. For many, this marks another step toward a world where routine activities—buying food, walking into a store—require surrendering deeply personal biological identifiers.
This trend aligns disturbingly well with the trajectory described in Revelation 13. Scripture warns of a coming system in which buying and selling are conditioned on participation in a centralized control structure (Revelation 13:16–17). While today’s biometric programs are not the Beast system, they function as clear precursors—training populations to accept identification, tracking, and access control as normal and necessary. When commerce becomes inseparable from digital identity and biometric verification, the infrastructure for exclusion is already in place. The danger is not merely technological, but spiritual: a society being conditioned to trade privacy and autonomy for convenience and perceived security. For Watchers and Warriors, this is not about panic—but discernment. The systems foretold in prophecy do not appear overnight; they are built incrementally, aisle by aisle, until refusal is no longer an option.
