A 25-year-old man identified as Guy Edward Bartkus is suspected of orchestrating a deadly car bombing outside the American Reproductive Centers IVF clinic in Palm Springs, California. The explosion, which occurred on May 17, injured four people and caused extensive damage to the clinic and surrounding businesses. Authorities believe Bartkus, a resident of Twentynine Palms, died in the blast. According to U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, the act is being investigated as intentional domestic terrorism. Bartkus allegedly ran a website promoting anti-Christian, anti-pro-life, and satanic ideologies. The site, which referenced suicide and the bombing, linked to a manifesto and audio file that federal investigators are currently reviewing.
The now-defunct website espoused a radical “pro-mortalist” philosophy, advocating for the eradication of human life and condemning those who support fertility treatments or hold religious beliefs. It included aggressive language targeting pro-lifers and promoted a war-like stance against them. Among other disturbing content, the site praised atheistic and satanic ideologies, mocked Scripture, and linked to materials related to past mass shooters. The attack occurred just months after President Trump issued an executive order supporting broader IVF access—a move that drew criticism from pro-life groups who argue the practice disregards the sanctity of life. While the clinic’s staff and reproductive materials were unharmed, the incident has shaken the community and raised concerns about escalating anti-life extremism.
Stay Awake. Keep Watch.
