Brainard Defends Dispensational Pre-Tribulationism

Apr 19, 2025

By: Joe Hawkins

In a bold livestream response, Bible teacher Lee Brainard confronts the rising trend of scoffing at the pre-tribulation Rapture, particularly calling out recent remarks made by Tucker Carlson and Andrew Isker. In their discussion—which was supposed to focus on Isker’s move from Minnesota to Tennessee—the two veered off into theological territory, using the moment to mock pre-tribulation teachers as “greaseballs” and dismissing the Rapture as a laughable belief.

Brainard doesn’t take the attack lightly. In his video, he dismantles the falsehoods and faulty presuppositions embedded in their critique. More importantly, he defends the sound doctrine of dispensational pre-tribulationism with clarity and biblical conviction, reminding viewers that belief in the Rapture is not a fringe idea—it is a blessed hope (Titus 2:13).

This backlash is not surprising. Scripture tells us to expect this very kind of mockery in the last days:

“Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts” (2 Peter 3:3).

As we draw closer to the return of Christ, the ridicule will only intensify. But rather than discouraging us, this should strengthen our resolve to stand firm in truth and boldly proclaim what the Bible teaches—regardless of who scoffs.
