Keep Watch!
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

Along Israel’s Mediterranean coast, the ancient ruins of Caesarea Maritima continue to deliver a quiet but devastating rebuke to modern skepticism. What skeptics dismiss as religious myth, archaeology keeps unearthing as historical fact. Built by Herod the Great and serving as Rome’s administrative capital in Judea, Caesarea was the very nerve center of imperial authority in the time of Christ and the apostles. Today, its harbor, palaces, courts, and theaters stand as physical testimony that the New Testament unfolded in a real, measurable world—not in theological fantasy.
This is the city where Peter baptized the first Gentile believer, where Paul stood trial before Roman officials, and where the gospel officially crossed into the wider world. Even more compelling, the stones themselves now testify to the accuracy of Scripture. The famous Pilate Stone, discovered in 1961, permanently silenced critics who once doubted the existence of Pontius Pilate. Mosaics bearing New Testament verses, including Romans 13, confirm that early Christians lived, worshiped, and preserved Scripture in the same streets where the apostles once walked. Caesarea is not merely an archaeological site—it is a preserved snapshot of the Book of Acts.
Scripture warns that in the last days truth would be attacked, history would be rewritten, and faith would be treated as fiction (2 Timothy 4:3–4). As deception increases, God continues to anchor His Word in physical evidence that cannot be erased. Caesarea reminds us that the gospel is not symbolic—it is historical. And in a generation being trained to distrust truth, these stones become part of God’s witness. As Jesus said, if men remain silent, the stones will cry out (Luke 19:40). In Caesarea, they still are.
