Canada: B.C. Shootings Leave 10 Dead

Feb 11, 2026

A quiet mountain town in Tumbler Ridge was shattered this week when gunfire erupted at the local secondary school, leaving seven people dead and more than two dozen injured. Authorities later discovered two additional victims at a nearby home, bringing the total to ten fatalities, including the suspected shooter. The attack unfolded at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, a small campus serving fewer than 200 students. For Canada, where school shootings are rare, the violence has sent shockwaves far beyond this remote corner of the Rockies.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed that more than 25 people were wounded, several critically, underscoring the scale of the tragedy. While investigators continue to piece together what led to the attack, early reports indicate the suspect died from a self-inflicted wound.
