Canada’s Anti-Israel Shift Raises Alarm

Jun 6, 2025

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has launched an investigation into alleged war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity committed during the Israel-Hamas war—an action that has raised serious concerns among Canadian citizens, particularly those with ties to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Though officials insist the probe is not targeting any specific group and is not yet a criminal investigation, the RCMP has created a multilingual online portal to collect public submissions, a level of outreach not seen in similar probes. Critics point out that this move could put Canadian IDF reservists and dual citizens under legal scrutiny, especially after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's recent alignment with the UK and France in condemning Israel's military actions. The Prime Minister’s statement labeled Israel's response to Hamas as "egregious" and threatened sanctions, despite Israel’s unprecedented humanitarian efforts during the conflict, which include delivering nearly 1.8 million tons of aid to Gaza.

This growing hostility toward Israel carries deep prophetic and spiritual significance. The Lord’s covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12:3 remains a divine standard: “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you.” When governments like Canada’s take positions that malign or isolate Israel while appearing to excuse the actions of terrorist organizations like Hamas, they are not only fanning the flames of antisemitism—they are inviting God’s judgment. As investigations and legal actions increasingly single out Israel and her defenders, Christians must remain spiritually discerning. Scripture makes it clear that in the last days, the nations will turn against Israel (Zechariah 12:3), and we may be witnessing that alignment unfold. Now more than ever, the Church must pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6), speak truth in a climate of misinformation, and stand unashamedly with God’s chosen people.

Stay Awake. Keep Watch.
