Keep Watch!
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

Charlie Kirk has been assassinated on a college campus in Utah—not for crime, nor for violence, but for daring to speak truth in the public square. A husband, a father, and a voice in the national dialogue, his blood was shed not for stealing or striking, but for words others could not endure. America, once a place where debate sharpened ideas and even fierce opponents could contend without fear, now finds itself crossing a dreadful threshold. The promise of free speech—enshrined in the First Amendment as a safeguard against tyranny—has been shattered by the cold reality that disagreement now brings death.
Scripture warns of a time when the love of many will grow cold, when men will call evil good and good evil. What we are witnessing in the horrific celebrations of this tragedy by many on social media is not merely division, but the Romans 1 spiral of a society that has rejected truth and embraced depravity. When speech is equated with violence, when those who speak are dehumanized as enemies, violence becomes not the exception but the expectation. America is standing on dangerous ground, and the blood crying out from our streets bears witness to a nation under judgment.
