China Unveils Fujian Supercarrier Weapon

Sep 30, 2025

China has revealed a new superweapon, unveiling its most advanced aircraft carrier, the Fujian, capable of projecting power and striking targets anywhere on earth. This show of force has heightened global tensions and fueled concerns that the world is edging closer to World War III. State-controlled media celebrated the carrier’s debut drills with dramatic footage of fighter jets taking off, patrolling contested waters, and returning to deck—leaving no doubt that Beijing intends to flex its growing military strength. President Xi Jinping now commands a vessel able to deploy 40 combat aircraft worldwide, signaling China’s readiness to challenge rivals on the global stage.

At 72,500 tons, the Fujian is one of the most powerful warships ever built in China’s modernization program and represents a leap in naval technology. Outfitted with electromagnetic catapults (EMALS), it can launch and recover heavy aircraft at high speed, putting it on par with the most advanced carriers in the world. State media boasted that the ship and its aircraft have reached “world-class levels,” while officials praised China’s progress toward becoming a “deep-blue water force.” The message is clear: Beijing is no longer content with regional dominance—it is preparing for global reach, reshaping the balance of power in ways that carry ominous prophetic undertones.
