China's AI 'Manus' Challenges Western Tech Giants

Mar 12, 2025

China has launched a powerful AI model called "Manus," developed by the startup Monica, which is being hailed as a major competitor to OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic. Unlike traditional AI chatbots, Manus is designed to autonomously think, plan, and execute complex real-world tasks without human oversight. It can research topics, write reports, analyze stocks, and even create websites from a single user prompt. Manus operates in the cloud, meaning it continues working even when a user disconnects, providing an uninterrupted AI-powered workforce.

The model has quickly gained international attention for its ability to outperform OpenAI’s DeepResearch on key AI benchmarks. Manus’ advanced web-browsing capabilities allow it to interact with online platforms, gather data, and even generate live workflows, pushing the boundaries of AI-driven automation. Chinese developers claim the AI represents a shift toward more independent and capable digital assistants, accelerating China’s role as a leader in artificial intelligence. The company also plans to open-source Manus, allowing even broader adoption in the global AI race.

As AI technology becomes more autonomous, it raises concerns about the potential for global surveillance, economic upheaval, and even AI-driven deception, reinforcing the prophetic significance of our times. This is definitely something to keep a close eye on as the Beast System infrastructure is being built out in real time right before our very eyes. READ MORE
