Keep Watch!
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

A disturbing line was crossed this week in Minnesota as anti-ICE activists stormed a church service in St. Paul—an act that left congregants shaken and children terrified. The incident, livestreamed by Don Lemon, involved protesters interrupting worship at Cities Church while shouting down the pastor. Rather than condemning the disruption of a religious service, Minnesota State Representative Leigh Finke publicly encouraged similar actions, calling on activists to continue storming churches until Immigration and Customs Enforcement is driven out of the state.
Federal authorities have taken notice. The Department of Justice confirmed it is investigating potential violations of the FACE Act, a statute that protects houses of worship from force, threats, or obstruction. Yet Rep. Finke framed the intimidation of churches as “nonviolent resistance,” comparing it to past political protests and invoking the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. The message was unmistakable: sacred spaces are now considered fair game for political pressure. What was once protected as holy ground is increasingly treated as just another platform for ideological confrontation.
The normalization of disrupting worship—and the justification of it by elected officials—signals a growing hostility toward Christianity in the public square. As lawlessness increases and moral boundaries erode, pressure on the Church intensifies. These are not isolated incidents; they are indicators of a culture steadily moving toward open opposition to biblical faith, just as Scripture said would happen in the last days.
