Clinic Uses Dolls to Promote Sex Changes

Aug 5, 2025

A New Hampshire abortion clinic is facing backlash after promoting a social media post that used American Girl dolls to normalize and promote controversial topics like “sex change” procedures, birth control, and abortion to young girls. The Lovering Health Center — which openly advertises itself as welcoming “people of all genders, ages, and sexual orientations” — shared the post in early June, depicting five dolls of different races engaging in what critics say amounts to ideological indoctrination under the guise of healthcare education.

In the images, one doll was shown on hormone replacement therapy for gender transition, another on pre-exposure prophylaxis to prevent HIV, a third receiving a “routine STI screening,” a fourth taking birth control, and a fifth “having a medication abortion.” The accompanying text praised the center’s “queer and trans-inclusive, disability-inclusive, and anti-racist” environment, language critics argue reflects a politically charged agenda aimed at children rather than neutral healthcare education.
