Colossus AI Supercomputer: Tech Beast

Mar 14, 2025

Elon Musk’s AI venture, xAI, is constructing "Colossus," a supercomputer that aims to reach a staggering 3 million GPUs by 2027. Named after the 1970s sci-fi thriller Colossus: The Forbin Project, Musk’s AI-driven system will be housed in Memphis, Tennessee, expanding over 100 acres. The project seeks to outpace competitors like OpenAI and Google by accelerating AI training and automation at an unprecedented scale.

With an estimated power consumption of nearly 5,000 MW and tens of thousands of AI racks, Colossus will require massive energy and water resources to sustain its operations. Musk’s optimization techniques, similar to those applied in Tesla factories, suggest an accelerated timeline, with 1 million GPUs expected by the end of 2025 and full expansion by 2027. The project signals a major shift toward AI-driven governance, decision-making, and automation, raising concerns about AI’s growing influence over society.

The rise of AI supercomputers aligns with end-times warnings about global control and deception (Revelation 13:15-17). As AI systems like Colossus become capable of influencing economies, surveillance, and governance, believers should remain discerning. The fusion of AI with centralized power could be a precursor to the Antichrist’s system of control, making it crucial to watch these technological advancements through a biblical and prophetic lens.
