Rep. Tim Burchett made headlines after declaring that he believes aliens exist, saying classified government briefings and testimony from military pilots convinced him the phenomenon is real. During an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Burchett said he has been shown videos, photographs, and reports from officials that he believes point to unexplained craft. He added that some of the world’s best-trained pilots have described close encounters with objects displaying unusual capabilities.
When asked directly if he believes extraterrestrial life exists, Burchett answered yes without hesitation. He argued that the public deserves greater transparency and said it is time for authorities to “come clean” about what they know. His comments come amid growing public interest in unidentified aerial phenomena, as lawmakers and military officials continue pushing for more disclosure regarding mysterious sightings reported by service members.
Burchett also tied part of his belief to biblical interpretation, referencing Genesis and the prophet Ezekiel. He suggested that Ezekiel’s famous vision of a “wheel within a wheel” could describe some type of advanced craft. Host Piers Morgan responded with skepticism, saying belief is not the same as verifiable proof, even while acknowledging the enormous size of the universe and the possibility that humanity may not be alone.
