Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

Newly obtained documents reveal that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) used a little-known surveillance and information-sharing platform to monitor attendees at the high-profile Ole Miss–Georgia football game in November 2024. According to FOIAball, the Citadel–Ole Miss matchup last weekend was nothing compared to last year’s ranked SEC showdown—an event that drew not only fans and national attention, but the eyes of the surveillance state. The Event Action Plan shows at least 11 agencies were present on the ground, including campus police, state authorities, and even a military rapid-response team. All were linked through the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN), a centralized platform designed to unify federal, state, and local law enforcement during major events. DHS promotes HSIN as a tool that “keeps communities safer,” but its real function extends far beyond simple communication.
HSIN is part of an increasingly expansive surveillance infrastructure that normalizes government monitoring under the guise of public safety. What once belonged to counterterrorism and national security is now embedded in everyday life—from airports to concerts to college football games. The quiet use of HSIN at a sporting event illustrates how easily mass surveillance becomes routine, conditioning Americans to accept constant observation as normal. Revelation 13 warns of a coming global system built on control, monitoring, and enforced compliance; the groundwork is being laid not in secret government bunkers, but in stadiums filled with cheering crowds. When surveillance blends seamlessly into entertainment, the line between freedom and oversight becomes dangerously thin.
