The European Parliament has taken a major step toward a fully monitored digital ecosystem, voting overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution that endorses mandatory EU-wide digital identification and age-verification for nearly all online activity. While framed as a child-safety measure, the proposal lays the groundwork for a universal digital ID system built around the EU Digital Identity Wallet and a new age-verification app currently under development. Under the plan, users would be required to re-verify their identity every three months to maintain access to social media, video platforms, and even AI chatbots. Children under 13 would be banned entirely, and teens aged 13–16 would need parental authorization—turning the internet into a permission-based environment where access hinges on government-approved credentials.
The resolution—passed 483 to 92—also calls for punitive measures against companies that fail to comply, including blocking them from operating in the EU, and even holding executives personally liable. While officials argue the plan protects minors from harmful content, the broader implications are unmistakable: an end to online anonymity, the rise of state-sanctioned digital checkpoints, and a future where every login and interaction can be tied back to a verified identity. This shift mirrors the type of centralized control Scripture warns will characterize the coming Beast System—where participation in society increasingly depends on a digital identity tied to government authority. Under the banner of “safety,” Europe is normalizing the infrastructure for total digital surveillance, eroding privacy and preparing the world for a system where access, speech, and movement may soon depend on a single, trackable ID.
