Europe Downplays Rising Anti-Christian Attacks

Oct 24, 2025

A new report from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) reveals that anti-Christian hate crimes across Europe are being ignored, minimized, or politically downplayed. The 125-page document—released at the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference—details a disturbing rise in attacks, from church vandalism and arson to violent assaults and even murder. The report notes that many congregations have been forced to increase security, while political leaders and media outlets often overlook or underreport such incidents. Converts from Islam to Christianity are identified as being at particular risk, especially women, who face violence and retribution from their own families when their faith is discovered.

The OSCE warns that hostility toward Christianity is fueled by extremist rhetoric that brands Christians as “infidels” or “enemies of Islam.” It also highlights how anti-Christian sentiment is spreading through political narratives that caricature biblical values as oppressive or outdated. For students of prophecy, this growing animosity is no surprise—it aligns with Jesus’ warning in John 15:18: “If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you.” As Europe once again turns cold toward the gospel, the Church must remain watchful, prayerful, and steadfast in proclaiming the truth amid persecution.
