Fulani Militias Kill 6 Christians in Plateau

Sep 16, 2025

Armed Fulani militias struck again on Sunday night, Sept. 14, in Plateau State, Nigeria, killing six Christians and wounding several more in Ndimar village, Mushere District. Survivors said the attackers stormed in under the cover of darkness, firing indiscriminately and torching homes and shops. Families fled into the bush, abandoning farms and belongings, as gunmen moved house to house burning everything in their path. By dawn, lives had been lost, livelihoods destroyed, and families left displaced with nothing but fear and grief.

This assault is the latest in a wave of violence targeting predominantly Christian farming communities across Nigeria’s Middle Belt. Bokkos and surrounding areas have endured repeated raids in recent months, leaving growing numbers of dead, displaced families, and destroyed farmland. Elders warn that the loss of crops and food stores will fuel hunger, while residents plead for permanent security posts and urgent relief. With three attacks in Bokkos in just four weeks, Christians in Mushere are left wondering if they will ever again live in peace on the land of their ancestors.
