Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

During a recent appearance on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene stirred controversy once again—this time by suggesting that so-called UFOs may be connected to demonic entities or “fallen angels.” Responding to Maher’s question about whether she believed in demons and the devil, Greene replied without hesitation: “Absolutely. I’m a Bible-believing Christian, and I believe those could be fallen angels.” Her comments reignited debate within both political and Christian circles, as growing public interest in unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) continues to intersect with theological interpretations of spiritual warfare and deception in the last days.
Greene’s statement taps into a broader prophetic conversation about the nature of end-time deception. I, along with several of my colleagues, have warned that an apparent “alien” revelation could serve as a modern disguise for demonic activity—part of what Scripture describes as the “strong delusion” of 2 Thessalonians 2:11. While critics dismissed Greene’s remarks as fringe, others view them as a reflection of increasing openness to supernatural explanations for unexplained phenomena. Whether one sees it as spiritual discernment or political theater, the exchange highlights how ancient biblical warnings about the “powers and principalities” (Ephesians 6:12) continue to collide with modern science, technology, and the mystery of the skies.
