Hamas Founder’s Son Exposes ‘Death Culture'

Aug 22, 2025

Mosab Hassan Yousef, the eldest son of Hamas founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef, delivered a stark warning about what he calls Hamas’s “death culture.” Speaking at a closed-door briefing hosted by the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs in Tel Aviv, Yousef emphasized that Hamas prioritizes ideology over the lives of its own people—even dragging children into violence while accusing Israel of crimes. He noted the hypocrisy of leaders who sacrifice their own families for political gain, drawing on his personal experience as the son of Hamas’s founder.

Yousef explained that Hamas cloaks its actions in the Palestinian cause, but at its core, it pursues jihad without boundaries, often weaponizing civilians and promoting indoctrination that ultimately leads to children’s deaths. He argued that Hamas does not truly believe in nationalism or borders but exploits the Palestinian banner for broader Islamist ambitions. For Yousef, the path forward is not another Palestinian state, but economic and educational cooperation with Israel to create a new generation free from exploitation by extremists.
