IDF Strikes Hezbollah Ceasefire Violators

Jan 5, 2026

The Israel Defense Forces announced Sunday that it eliminated two terrorists from Hezbollah in southern Lebanon after they were caught attempting to rebuild the group’s terror infrastructure. According to the IDF, the strike took place in the area of Al-Jumayjimah and targeted operatives actively violating ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The military said the activity posed a direct threat and underscored Hezbollah’s continued efforts to entrench itself despite diplomatic agreements.

The Israel Defense Forces emphasized that such actions constitute a blatant breach of the ceasefire and reaffirmed its commitment to act decisively against emerging threats. As tensions persist along Israel’s northern border, Jerusalem signaled it will not allow violations to go unanswered. The incident highlights the fragile nature of ceasefire arrangements and the ongoing risk of escalation in the region, with Israel remaining on high alert to defend its citizens and sovereignty.
