Music was created by God as a gift — a reflection of heaven itself, where angels sing and instruments resound in eternal worship (Revelation 5:9-14). Yet just as Satan corrupted the good gifts of creation, so too has he corrupted music. What God designed to glorify Him has been twisted into a tool for deception, rebellion, and idolatry. Much of today’s popular music carries not only sinful lyrics but also occult undertones, with artists openly embracing demonic imagery and practices. Scripture warns that in the last days, deception will increase, and what is holy will be mocked while evil is celebrated (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

One emerging rapper, Tekai Elijah Key (known as Lil Tony), recently shared an unnerving encounter that highlights this dark reality. During a photoshoot on a remote mountain, he questioned how the people involved could afford their lavish lifestyles. Their chilling response: they performed “demonic rituals” and spoke of the illuminati, even claiming Hollywood stars were part of initiation rites. When Key tried to leave, his phone had no service, and he found himself riding back with a man whose demeanor suddenly changed in a way he described as demonic. Fearing for his safety, he fled toward a mailman who “just happened” to appear — an escape he attributes to God’s intervention.

This testimony, whether every detail is accurate or not, reveals something undeniable: the entertainment industry is steeped in spiritual darkness. Behind the fame and wealth lies a battlefield for souls, and Satan is using music to condition, seduce, and enslave. Key’s conclusion was simple but profound: both God and the devil are real. For believers, this should be a wake-up call. We are not to be naïve about the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:11), nor should we dismiss growing evidence that entertainment is being weaponized in service of a greater deception — one that aligns with the prophetic warnings of Scripture. The question is not whether the devil is working through such means, but whether we will remain sober, watchful, and faithful to the truth in an age increasingly given over to darkness.
