India's Christians Rally Against Violence

Jun 3, 2025

The National Christian Front (NCF), known in Hindi as the Rashtriya Christian Morcha, has announced nationwide protests across India on June 9 to oppose the ongoing violence and discrimination faced by Christians. Partnering with organizations like BAMCEF and Bharat Mukti Morcha, the NCF is urging Christian leaders and communities to unite in a show of strength and solidarity. The demonstrations aim not only to protest the rising attacks but also to foster unity between Christians and India’s marginalized groups, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Castes.

Supported by the National Backward Class Front, National Tribal Unity Council, and the National Muslim Front, the rally bears the slogans “stand up for justice” and “stand together in faith.” The Odisha chapter of the NCF emphasized that these attacks reflect broader threats to human rights and constitutional values. A memorandum will be submitted to the President of India following the protest. Waman Meshram, president of BAMCEF and Bharat Mukti Morcha, called on all members and affiliated groups to participate, framing the event as a unified stand against religiously motivated atrocities and systemic injustice.

Stay Awake. Keep Watch.
