Iranian state-affiliated television has reportedly aired a disturbing video threatening Barron Trump, the son of President Donald Trump, while offering a $10 million reward for his death. According to The Jerusalem Post, citing reporting from Iran International, Iran’s Channel 3 produced a segment that purported to identify locations Barron has visited, including Trump Tower and his school campus, while also discussing elements of his Secret Service protection. The video even claimed to have identified online gaming and social-media accounts connected to Barron and people around him. The Jerusalem Post noted that it could not independently locate the original video on Channel 3’s platforms, though footage was circulated by London-based Iranian anti-regime journalist Niyak Ghorbani. The broadcast reportedly concluded by telling viewers that millions of gamers opposed to Trump were waiting to receive the $10 million prize.
Even more alarming, this reportedly was not an isolated incident. The same Iranian outlet previously aired a video threatening First Lady Melania Trump, identifying stores she was said to frequent in New York and discussing details of her security arrangements. That earlier broadcast reportedly encouraged so-called “freedom fighters” to target those locations and ended with a direct warning to Barron that he would be next. Now that threat appears to have escalated into a video centered specifically on the president’s son. The significance is difficult to overstate: this is not simply another fiery speech from an Iranian official or anonymous rhetoric circulating online. If the reporting is accurate, state-affiliated media in Tehran is normalizing the targeting of an American president’s family while presenting information that could potentially encourage real-world violence.
