Iran Threatens Stronger War Response Against Israel

Aug 27, 2025

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran is ready for another confrontation with Israel, stressing that “anything is possible, and Iran is prepared for all circumstances.” Speaking to the Saudi-owned newspaper Asharq al-Awsat after a meeting of Organization of Islamic Cooperation foreign ministers in Jeddah, Araghchi claimed that neither Israel nor Iran achieved their objectives during June’s 12-day conflict. He insisted that Iran’s missile attacks continued until the end, and that Israel was ultimately the one to request an unconditional ceasefire.

Araghchi cautioned that any renewed Israeli attack would be met with an even stronger response from Iran, asserting that “those who confront Israel must be strong, not complacent.” He accused Israel of trying to provoke a regional “oil war” by targeting Iranian facilities and warned that Israeli policies could threaten stability in the Gulf and potentially close the Strait of Hormuz. Calling on Arab nations — including Abraham Accords signatories — to cut ties with Israel, he urged practical steps such as halting trade to support Gaza, arguing that what Palestinians need most is food, water, medicine, and an end to occupation.
