Peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved until Iran’s theocratic regime is dismantled. While President Trump made a decisive move by targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities to prevent the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons, the only permanent solution is the removal of the Islamist regime itself. As long as the ayatollahs remain in power, they will continue to pursue nuclear capabilities and weapons of mass destruction. Destroying Iran's nuclear program without addressing the regime will only delay the inevitable threat, allowing the cycle of aggression and instability to persist.

In addition to its nuclear ambitions, Iran has been the leading state sponsor of terrorism for years, fueling conflicts through proxies like Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. The regime’s influence has destabilized the region and caused immense suffering for the Iranian people, who have lived under the ayatollahs' oppressive rule for nearly half a century. While Western media may highlight reformers within Iran, these individuals seek to maintain the dictatorship, not dismantle it. The only hope for a better future for the Iranian people and the broader Middle East is the removal of the Islamic Republic. By ending Iran’s hegemonic influence, regional stability can be achieved, reducing the need for nuclear deterrents and eradicating the grip of Iranian-backed terrorist groups. While regime change may seem daunting, as past efforts in Libya and Iraq have shown, it’s necessary for a true, lasting peace in the Middle East. The international community should support the Iranian people in overthrowing their oppressive rulers, without direct military intervention, allowing them to reclaim their freedom.
