Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed that Iraqi security forces, in collaboration with the U.S.-led coalition, successfully eliminated Abdullah Maki Musleh al-Rifai, also known as Abu Khadija, the leader of ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The operation targeted one of the most dangerous terrorists in the region, marking a significant victory against the militant group.
The death of Abu Khadija is expected to disrupt ISIS operations, but officials remain cautious as the terrorist network has repeatedly regrouped after leadership losses.
