War is a heavy and complex subject, especially for Christians. While we are called to be peacemakers and to love our enemies, Scripture is also clear that evil must be confronted—sometimes by force. The recent missile attacks by Iran’s regime, resulting in the death of Israeli civilians, including infants, are not just geopolitical incidents—they are acts of evil that demand a response. Israel’s swift and strategic retaliation has neutralized a growing threat that could have led to catastrophic loss of life. Yet in the midst of this, influential voices like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens are promoting narratives that are not only theologically unsound but dangerous. These positions undermine Israel’s right to defend itself and, more importantly, ignore the biblical framework that affirms God’s use of nations to execute justice when necessary.
The God of the Bible is not a pacifist deity. He is described as “the Lord of Armies” and “a man of war” (Exodus 15:3). Scripture is filled with accounts where God commanded military action against evil—such as the Amalekites in 1 Samuel 15 or the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18. These stories are not anomalies; they reveal God’s justice when His people are under threat. The same Jesus who offered Himself as the Lamb of God will return as the conquering King, wielding a sword of righteous judgment (Revelation 19). Those who distort Scripture to call Israel’s self-defense unchristian are not just misinformed—they are playing into a spiritual deception. As Pastor Jack Hibbs rightly notes, this battle is not just political—it’s prophetic. The enemy understands that if Israel is wiped out, the stage for Christ’s return is dismantled. The survival of Israel is not only a matter of global justice; it’s a matter of divine fulfillment.
Stay Awake. Keep Watch.
