Fresh signs are emerging that Israel and the United States may be preparing for a renewed military confrontation with Iran as negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear ambitions appear to be stalling. According to reports, Israeli leaders are operating under the assumption that President Donald Trump could soon authorize another major strike if Iran fails to present a dramatically improved proposal. Israeli media pointed to several unusual developments signaling heightened readiness, including a five-hour emergency security cabinet meeting involving top military officials, the cancellation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s court hearing, and President Isaac Herzog withdrawing from an international event due to the “sensitive situation” unfolding in the Middle East.

Trump confirmed Tuesday that military action had only been delayed temporarily, warning that Iran may have just “two or three days” to reach a deal before the situation escalates again. While emphasizing that he prefers diplomacy, Trump stated that America is prepared to deliver “another big hit” if necessary.
