Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

In an unprecedented decision that many are calling a tangible fulfillment of biblical prophecy, the Israeli government has approved a plan to bring home the final 6,000 members of the Bnei Menashe community—descendants of the ancient tribe of Manasseh exiled more than 2,700 years ago. Although 5,000 members have already made aliyah over the past two decades, thousands remained stranded in India’s northeastern states of Mizoram and Manipur due to bureaucratic barriers. That changes now. An Israeli delegation will depart next week to begin processing applications, with 1,200 expected to arrive by the end of 2026 and the remainder by 2030. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it “an important and Zionist decision” that will strengthen Israel’s north, where many of the returnees will settle in communities affected by war and depopulation.
For prophecy watchers, this historic move resonates deeply with Scripture. Isaiah 11:11 foretold a day when God would “set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people” from distant lands—places that ancient Israel could never have imagined. The Bnei Menashe, long isolated in Asia yet preserving fragments of Jewish identity, are a living testimony to God’s promise to gather His people from “the islands of the sea.” Their return not only reunites families torn apart for generations but also strengthens Israel’s strategic northern communities, mirroring the prophetic regathering seen throughout Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and Isaiah. At a time when the nations rage and antisemitism rises, Israel is literally welcoming home a lost tribe—another reminder that God’s covenant purposes for His people remain firmly on track.
