In a powerful video message directed at Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the country’s Islamic scholars, Safed Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu responded to claims that Israel’s recent military successes were aided by demonic forces. Firmly refuting the allegation, Rabbi Eliyahu explained that Israel does not rely on dark powers but is aided by holy angels sent by God. Citing Israel’s miraculous victories in 1948 and 1967, he emphasized that divine intervention—not supernatural manipulation—is responsible for Israel’s resilience and triumphs. “We are not angels,” he said, “but God sends angels to us because He promises and fulfills.”

Rabbi Eliyahu went further, referencing passages in the Quran that acknowledge the Land of Israel was given to the Jewish people by God. He challenged Iranian leaders to read their own scriptures honestly and recognize Israel’s divine right to the land. Pointing to Israel’s restoration after 2,000 years of exile, he declared that its rebirth and prosperity are evidence of God’s hand. Warning that opposition to Israel is ultimately rebellion against God, he urged Iran’s leadership to align themselves with the Creator. “Walk with God and live,” he pleaded, “for those who oppose Him will not succeed.”
