The United States and Saudi Arabia struck “multiple” terror and weapon sites in eastern Iraq, after Iran directed terrorists there to attack American troops and energy infrastructure in the kingdom, U.S. Central Command said on Tuesday. The American and Saudi strikes were a “strong response to over 30 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-directed aerial drone attacks in the last 72 hours,” CENTCOM said.

US President Donald Trump says Washington is going to “beat the f***ing s**t” out of Iran in response to Tehran’s overnight attacks on US assets in the region. “We’ll be hitting them hard. They’re going to get a beating,” Trump tells Fox News in a phone interview. Trump calls the Iran strike targeting US forces in Jordan a “surprise attack” in which troops had just minutes to shoot down incoming missiles.

Iran is expected to receive the first shipment of hundreds of shoulder-fired air defense missiles in the coming weeks, Reuters reported. The deal with Beijing saw Tehran purchase hundreds of shoulder-fired air defense missiles, as part of its preparations for the possibility of renewed fighting. According to the report, Tehran and Beijing are examining options for transporting the shipment overland, including additional military deliveries, in order to reduce the likelihood that the cargo will be intercepted.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced an agreement with the United Arab Emirates, July 28, to establish the first bilateral task force focused on accelerating the development of military artificial intelligence applications. The U.S.-UAE task force, named Task Force Talon Synapse, is scheduled to formally launch in the coming weeks. The Abu Dhabi-based team will consist of approximately 20 American and Emirati personnel with expertise in AI, data, and cybersecurity.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says humanity has entered the AI singularity, the hypothetical point when artificial intelligence advances beyond our ability to predict or control it. “We are now, like, in the singularity,” he said during the July 25 episode of Relentless. “This is the moment.”

The J7 Large Communities’ Task Force Against Antisemitism released its second annual report, which tracks antisemitic hatred in the seven countries outside of Israel where over 90% of Jews live. According to the report, 20 people were killed in antisemitic attacks in 2025. All of the deadly attacks took place in J7 countries which includes Australia, Canada, Argentina, the U.S., the U.K., Germany and France. The J7 report finds that there were over 23,000 antisemitic incidents in J7 countries throughout 2025 – this represented a 97% increase in violent incidents and a 136% increase in total antisemitic incidents since 2022.

An “experimental explosion” triggered an earthquake-like tremor off Florida’s East Coast on Tuesday afternoon. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the magnitude 3.9 tremor was recorded 171 km ENE of Flagler Beach. USGS said, “The recorded ground motions from this event are more typical of an explosion than a naturally occurring earthquake. The Navy has conducted Full Ship Shock Trials in this region in the past.”
