Trump declares ceasefire with ‘scum’ Iranian leaders ‘is over’, lashes out at NATO over Greenland and cuts off all trade with ‘terrible’ Spain
Trump has labelled the Iranian regime a ‘bunch of scum’ and declared that the ceasefire is ‘over’ after the US and Tehran exchanged strikes overnight. In an extraordinary press conference at the NATO summit in Ankara, the US president also renewed his attack against the Western alliance over Greenland, and threatened to cut off all trade with ‘terrible Spain‘. ‘To me, I think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them anymore. They’re scum,’ Trump told a reporter in answer to a question about the status of the memorandum of understanding.
IRGC claims strikes on US targets in Bahrain and Kuwait
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it launched missiles and drones at U.S. military targets in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to what it described as the United States’ violation of the ceasefire. In a statement, the IRGC said it had destroyed 85 U.S. military facilities at the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. It added that the attacks were the initial phase of Iran’s response and were carried out jointly by its naval and air forces.
Advanced Driver Distraction Warning Systems Now Mandatory Across All New EU Vehicles
Every new car and van sold across the European Union will watch its driver from July 7, when an infrared camera aimed at the person behind the wheel becomes a legal condition of sale. The requirement reaches tens of millions of vehicles a year, and it arrives wrapped in the language of safety. The rule goes by Advanced Driver Distraction Warning, or ADDW, and is inside the bloc’s General Safety Regulation, formally 2019/2144. Carmakers have had to fit it to new vehicle types since July 2024. From July 7, 2026, they must fit it to every new car and van that reaches the market. The camera tracks where a driver’s eyes are aimed and how the head is positioned, then judges whether the driver has looked away from the road for too long. Glance off for more than six seconds at speeds between 20 and 50 km/h and the system has to warn you. Above 50 km/h the allowance shrinks to three and a half seconds. Each warning has to be visible, reinforced by sound or a physical buzz, and it grows more insistent the longer the software believes your attention has drifted.
Trump’s Board of Peace planning pilot ‘humanitarian zone’ in south Gaza: Official
US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace is planning a pilot “humanitarian zone” in southern Gaza which would aim to accommodate tens of thousands of vetted Palestinian civilians, a board official told AFP. The official said the zone could act as a “starting point” for the Palestinian technocratic committee meant to assume the day-to-day governance of Gaza’s transitional phase out of war under Trump’s 20-point plan. The pilot zone, which the board is eyeing for Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, would be secured by multinational troops from the International Stabilisation Force (ISF), a fledgling body which operates under the Board of Peace. The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), the group of Palestinian technocrats established by the Board of Peace, would carry out screening and access control, supported by the ISF.

WEF Founder Schwab Claims He Found Spying Device at His Home
World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab has filed a criminal complaint following the alleged discovery of a secret listening device planted in his home office in Geneva. The equipment was found after a routine security inspection was conducted at his private home close to the WEF premises, according to an emailed statement from a spokesperson for Schwab. The complaint was filed with the Geneva prosecutor’s office against persons unknown. An initial assessment suggested that the device has been installed within the last three years, the statement reads. An investigation is now underway with the goal to identify the people “responsible for its installation,” according to the statement.
Anthropic Caught Secretly Spying on Users
Anthropic, the self-avowed moral center of the AI industry, has been caught spying on its users. As Ars Technica reports, a security researcher last week uncovered spyware-like code in the company’s Claude Code AI model designed to collect data on Chinese users without detection. The researcher, known by the pseudonym “Thereallo,” found that the code was hidden in the AI’s system prompt, allowing it track a user’s system timezone and usage of a proxy server in order to suss out if they were connected to specific Chinese AI labs.Anthropic’s explanation for this huge breach in user trust left much to be desired. On X, Anthropic engineer Thariq Shihipa wrote that the tracker was added as an “experiment” in March “to prevent account abuse from unauthorized resellers and protect against distillation,” and was supposed to be removed.
Pope Leo appoints German bishop who endorsed homosexual ‘blessings,’ claimed sodomy ‘not sinful’
Pope Leo XIV on Tuesday named Monsignor Christian Würtz, an auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Freiburg, Germany, who has a history of supporting homosexual “blessings” and contradicting the Church’s teaching on homosexuality, as the next bishop of Eichstätt. Würtz, 55, was among the 38 German bishops in 2023 who voted in favor of a document endorsing “blessings” for homosexual “couples” as well as for the divorced and “remarried.” Six months earlier, Würtz supported the German Synodal Way’s heterodox “Doctrinal Reassessment of Homosexuality” document that falsely called homosexual acts “not sinful” and “not intrinsically evil.”
