Police in Austin arrested three juveniles allegedly connected to a violent overnight shooting spree that left four people injured and spread fear across multiple neighborhoods. Authorities say the attacks unfolded late Saturday into Sunday morning and involved at least 12 separate shooting incidents targeting apartment complexes, homes, pedestrians, and even two fire stations. According to police, a 15-year-old, 16-year-old, and 17-year-old were eventually taken into custody after investigators linked them to the coordinated violence that triggered a shelter-in-place order in parts of South Austin.

Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis stated that the suspects allegedly stole firearms and multiple vehicles during the spree before firing randomly throughout the city. One fire station was reportedly targeted twice, while a fire truck was struck with firefighters nearby. Authorities also revealed that one of the suspects already had an outstanding warrant connected to the theft of a firearm. The incidents added to growing concerns nationwide surrounding juvenile crime, escalating violence, and the increasingly brazen nature of attacks unfolding in American cities.
