Kim Orders Automatic Nuclear Strike

North Korea has reportedly rewritten its constitution to ensure an automatic nuclear strike if Kim Jong Un or the country’s supreme leadership is eliminated in an attack. According to South Korean intelligence reports, the updated law now requires North Korea’s military to immediately launch nuclear weapons without further authorization if the regime’s command structure is neutralized by what Pyongyang calls “hostile forces.” The dramatic move comes in the aftermath of the reported elimination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other senior Iranian officials during the recent Israeli-American conflict with Iran. North Korea appears determined to guarantee that any attempt at a “decapitation strike” against its leadership would trigger catastrophic retaliation.

The constitutional amendment effectively codifies a mutual destruction doctrine directly into North Korean law. Intelligence officials say the change was designed to create absolute deterrence by removing human hesitation from the launch process itself. At the same time, Kim Jong Un reportedly inspected new long-range artillery systems capable of placing central Seoul and major South Korean industrial regions within direct striking distance. State media indicated the advanced 155mm howitzers could be deployed near the border this year as tensions on the Korean Peninsula continue escalating. North Korea has also reportedly removed references to reunification from official documents, further signaling that Pyongyang now views South Korea exclusively as an enemy state.
